Original greeting card, in the form of a postcard, with multicolored ink and silver foil on white card stock. Silver-foil lettering on front. Card is used and has postal marks and the addressee's name and address handwritten in pencil on back. Stamp has been removed from stamp box. Postmarked February 9, 1910 in Kearney, Nebraska. No date, circa 1910. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2." Card is very clean and intact but has some age toning and slight surface tearing from where the stamp was removed. A Very Good copy. An original Valentine's Day greeting card. Much of the front of the card is silver foil but also has color illustrations of pink hearts and flowers and a heart-shaped vignette enclosing a quaint scene of a country cottage. There is no written correspondence. The addressee is Florence Morris in Overton, Nebraska. "R. I." also written where address is. The printed message on front reads, "To my Valentine: The earnest love I bear / For you, sweetheart, / Will last for aye though / Fate should bid us part." Printer's information to the left side on back: "Davidson Bros.' Pictorial Post Cards. Series 20; Printed in Germany.". Ephemera. Book Condition: Very Good.
